Oregon Landscapes
Oregon, my Oregon! I was born and raised in Portland and environs, had my first job here, then left for 25 years (to live in Boston, Los Angeles, and Bangkok).
I returned in 2018 to a whole new appreciation for this jaw-dropping corner of the world: the rugged coastline; the line of dormant volcanoes looming over the landscape; the river that carved a gorge between two states; the high desert; and the fertile farmlands of the wine region. It’s all made me fall for my home state in a way that has both surprised and delighted me, and I love almost nothing more than to get in the car with my camera and wander its long and rambling highways.
