Peru

Peru was my first solo trip abroad. I went as a journalist accompanying a medical team conducting surgeries deep in the Andes on children with malformed limbs. It was a deeply moving experience, and along the way I got to see the beauty of the country and its people. That trip also inspired my eventual decision to take a break from my career and travel, on my own, to far away lands.
